Construction Dust Comes Back Down
The mistake on a handover clean is treating it like a very dirty regular clean. Fine dust stays airborne for days and keeps settling, so a single wipe-through looks perfect at 4pm and hazy the next morning. The order of work is what makes the difference.
Top down, floors last
High surfaces, ledges, vents and fixtures come first, then the middle of the room, then the floors once everything above has been cleared and the air has settled. Cleaning floors early just means cleaning them twice.
The residue trades leave behind
Paint spots, adhesive, sticker residue on glass and fittings, and the dust that packs into window tracks and door frames. These are the things a walkthrough catches and a fast clean misses, and they are the reason handovers get pushed.
A second pass when trades are still finishing
If joiners or decorators are still in and out, Jessica will schedule a second pass once they are genuinely done rather than pretending one visit will hold. That is agreed up front so it is in the quote, not a surprise afterwards.
New hard floors usually want a proper finish laid down once the site is clear. If the building then needs looking after, that is janitorial maintenance, and a finished home handover is residential cleaning.
